Wireform

The STARCHMARK® Breast Tissue Marker is a sterile, disposable applicator containing 6 bio-resorbable
polysaccharide (starch) pellets, 1 polylactic/ polyglycolic acid-based copolymer (PLA/PGA) pellet with an embedded radiopaque BCA* shaped wireform, and a polyethylene glycol push pellet.

The wireform is intended for long-term radiographic marking of the biopsy site. The polysaccharide (starch) pellets absorb body fluids to help in the control and management of bleeding. The pellets are essentially resorbed in approximately two weeks.

Available for both ENCOR® and Mammotome® Breast Biopsy Systems.

• Versatile applicator provides convenient insertion with introducers for ENCOR® Ultrasound, EVIVA® Stereotactic, and ENCOR® and ATEC® MRI Breast Biopsy Systems.
• Four starch-pellet configuration assists with management of bleeding.V-shaped stainless steel wireform in the center pellet intended for long-term radiographic marking of the biopsy site.
• Center wireform is encased in a quick-dissolving polyethylene glycol pellet.
